Banking Partnership Specialist

We are looking for a Banking Partnership Specialist to maintain, manage, and help growing strategic relationships with banking and financial institution partners for xpate group (UK and EU entities). In this role, you’ll act as the liaison between xpate and partner banks as well as financial institutions (including digital assets providers, licensed crypto exchanges etc), ensuring strong collaboration, smooth execution of initiatives, and long-term mutual value.

Your role at xpate:
  • Maintain strong relationships with banking and financial institution partners.

  • Support operational side of the banking relationship departments - coordinate and ensure timely replies to partner banks financial information requests.

  • Serve as the point of contact for partner banks, managing ongoing communication and issue resolution.

  • Assist in onboarding, integration, and operational workflows for new and existing partners

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Compliance, Legal, Product,Customer Success, Growth team.

  • Monitor partner performance, KPIs, and contractual obligations.

  • Support negotiation of partnership agreements, renewals, and amendments.

  • Stay informed on banking industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape.

  • Ensure partnerships remain compliant with regulatory and internal risk requirements.

  • Internal documentation management - overview on all partners within the group and related partner/onboarding documentation, agreements.

We’re ready to meet you, if…
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

  • 2–3+ years of experience in partnerships, banking, financial services, fintech, or business development.

  • Good understanding of banking products, financial services, or payments ecosystems .

  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.

  • Conflict resolution and management.

  • Ability to manage multiple partners and projects simultaneously.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with banks, credit unions, or regulated financial institutions.

  • Familiarity with compliance, risk, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., KYC, AML, PCI).

  • Background in fintech, embedded finance, or B2B partnerships.

  • Confluence and JIRA experience for documentation and task management.
