Junior Anti-Fraud and AML Monitoring Officer

We are looking for a Junior Anti-Fraud and AML Monitoring Officer to join our growing monitoring team. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone who wants to develop practical experience in transaction monitoring, fraud prevention, and AML investigations within a regulated fintech environment.

Your role at xpate:

•   Review, monitor, and investigate alerts generated by the Company’s internal transaction monitoring systems (covering both AML and anti-fraud scenarios).
  •   Perform initial analysis of alerts, assess risk indicators, and determine appropriate next steps.
  •   Escalate cases in line with internal procedures where required and support case handover to senior team members.
  •   Ensure timely and accurate closure of alerts with proper documentation and rationale.
  •   Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. Customer Success) to collect additional information required for investigations.
  •   Request and analyse supporting data and documentation related to alerts and transactions.
  •   Maintain accurate records and contribute to internal reporting and statistics on alerts, trends, and outcomes.
  •   Support the team with ad-hoc tasks related to monitoring, investigations, and process improvements.

We’re ready to meet you, if…

  •   At least 1 year of experience in AML, transaction monitoring, anti-fraud, financial crime,
  •   Basic understanding of AML / CTF and fraud risk concepts.
  •   Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  •   Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
  •   Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
  •   Good written and spoken English.

Nice to Have
  •   Knowledge of payment flows, fintech products, or financial services.
  •   Familiarity with internal monitoring systems or case management tools.
